What YoussefLabs does, and does not do, with your data
Most online utility websites receive your files, JSON documents, PDFs, or images via HTTP POST requests, process them on their backend servers, and send back the results. This creates substantial privacy risks for developers handling sensitive API keys, production tokens, proprietary code, or confidential documents.
YoussefLabs is built on a strict local-first architecture. Tools process what you type, paste or open in your own browser. Nothing you enter into a tool is sent to a server by the tool.
Files and text you use in a tool stay on your device. The tools do not send them anywhere.
No sign-in, no email collection, and nothing to create or remember.
We do not collect or log the text, files, clipboard contents or results you work with.
Open your browser DevTools Network tab while using a tool: processing your input makes no network request.
Like any website, this one is delivered by a web host, which may keep ordinary server logs of page requests (such as the address requested, time, and your IP address and browser type). That is separate from your tool input, which the host never receives. The site does not currently use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If that ever changes, this page will be updated before it does.
If a future utility requires capabilities beyond browser platform limits (such as heavy native video transcoding), it will be explicitly designated with a distinctServer-assistedbadge before any operation begins.
