PNG and WebP both support transparency, so it is kept when converting between them. JPEG has no transparency: converting a PNG or WebP to JPEG fills transparent areas with white.
The converted image is re-encoded by the browser and may not retain EXIF metadata such as camera model or location. Photo orientation is applied to the pixels, so phone photos are not rotated incorrectly.
This tool only changes the format. Use Image Compressor to reduce the file size, or Resize Image to change the dimensions. Animated images and GIFs are not supported.
